Latest single for Australian MC, Urthboy. This was filmed and sped up something like 30 times real speed! Imagine messing it up and having to do it again! Haha!
I’d never heard of these guys before, but I heard this song on the radio this morning and it sounded pretty cool. The start is pretty repetitive and the song would probably get annoying if you listened to it too much, but until then, it sounds like a pretty bangin party track! For the record these guys are from Portugul.
The official video clip for Urthboy’s latest single, Hellsong. Urthboy would have to be my favourite Australian MC, in fact one of my favourite MCs fullstop. All of his work I’ve enjoyed, from his solo stuff to his work in The Herd etc. Anyway this is off his latest album which is due for release very shortly. I look forward to it! Enjoy.
Brad Strut is an MC from the Melbourne crew, Lyrical Commission. He does a fair bit of solo work too which is all pretty good. Anyway, this is a new track of his which is sounding really good, and has an EP (Fallout Shelter) and LP (Rejuvenation) which come out at the end of May.
Plutonic Lab is a producer out of my home town of Melbourne, Australia. He’s probably better known for being one half of Muph & Plutonic, but his solo work just shows that he can do it alone. This video is pretty interesting, and I like they way it works with the beats etc. Anyway, check it out.
Dave Chappelle is a really funny guy, so it’s a bit of a pity he doesn’t do the Chappelle Show anymore. Anyway, this clip was taken from the wrap up shows after he had chosen to stop making the Chappelle Show. It’s a skit about hearing “new” 2Pac songs in clubs and how the lyrics always seem a little advanced for their times. Haha! Check it.
COG are a progressive rock band out of Bondi, Australia that have an insane drummer called Lucius Borich. I’d rate him as Australia’s finest going around. Anyway, take a look at this clip, it takes a while to get to the good parts but it builds up pretty well. Take note around the 5 minute mark how intense it gets!
This is a hip-hop track made by the guys at the Compton Cricket Club in LA, USA. It’s all real too, they formed the club to teach people discipline and respect and to keep guys off the streets from joining gangs. Anyway, check it out!
I remember staying up one night watching Rage and seeing this vdeo clip and I remembered about it the other day so I thought I’d see if it was on YouTube to watch. Anyway it was, and it reminded me why I liked it so much! Haha! This is one of my favourite clips, and the song is pretty decent too! I just love it how they end up taking EVERYTHING from her apartment, including the kitchen sink! Hahaha!
Astronomy Class have been around for a couple of years now. They are Ozi Batla (The Herd), Chasm and Sir Robbo. I’ve been lucky enough to see these guys play live a few times and they’re really good. I really enjoyed their first album “Exit Strategy” so I can’t wait for this new album of theirs to drop. This song is really cool, and the video clip is a classic! Check it.
